THE STUDIO

Caval Interiors was founded in 2023, when Carolina set out to create a design practice that allowed her to continue doing the work she loved while having more time and flexibility for her family.

What began as a personal decision shaped the studio's values: thoughtful design, genuine relationships, and a more personal approach to the design experience.

Today, Caval is a residential interior design studio creating warm, timeless, and layered interiors that feel distinctly personal to the people who call them home.

OUR APPROACH

We believe a well-designed home begins with understanding the people who live there.

Our process goes beyond how a space looks. We consider how you move through your home, how you entertain, where things are stored, what isn’t working, and how you want the space to feel.

From space planning and custom details to materials, furnishings, and styling, we bring each element together with intention. The result is a home that feels cohesive, elevated and personal — but never too precious to be lived in.

Beautiful design is only part of what we do.
Making the process easier is just as important.

OUR PROCESS

A considered process allows us to create spaces that feel personal, functional, and beautifully resolved.

We guide you through each stage, keeping the experience clear and collaborative along the way.

01.

Every project begins with a conversation.

We get to know you, your home, how you live, what you’d like to change, and what you hope to create.

We’ll also discuss the scope, priorities, timeline, and investment to make sure we’re starting with a clear understanding of the project.

Discovery

02.

This is where the vision begins to take shape.

We establish the overall look and feel of your home through space planning, inspiration, material direction, and early design ideas—creating a clear foundation for everything that follows.

Design Direction

03.

We bring the concept into focus and work through the details. Depending on your project, this can include custom millwork, finishes, fixtures, lighting, furnishings, drawings, and 3D renderings. Every element is considered together so the home feels cohesive from room to room.

Design Development

Refinement & Selections

We present the design, walk you through our recommendations, and refine the details together. Once everything feels right, selections are finalized, and the project is prepared for the next stage.

04.

Coordination &
Execution

05.

With the design approved, we help bring it into reality. We coordinate with trades, vendors, and fabricators, manage sourcing and ordering, and stay closely involved throughout implementation to ensure the original design intent is carried through.

Installation &
Finishing Touches

06.

The final layer brings the home together. Furnishings, window coverings, art, and accessories are installed and styled; outstanding details are addressed, and the space is prepared for you to simply come home and enjoy.

Our goal is for you to feel excited about your renovation—not consumed by it.

You’ll always know what we’re working on, what decisions need to be made, and what comes next.

We’ll guide you through the process so that, in the end, you’re not just left with a beautiful home—you’ve also had a design experience that felt organized, personal, and enjoyable.
