What should I budget for my project?
Every home and scope is different, so I provide a custom proposal after learning more about your project. Your design fee covers my professional design services and is separate from the cost of construction, trades, materials, fixtures, furnishings and other items required to complete your home. During our initial consultation, we’ll talk openly about your overall investment so I can design with a realistic budget in mind.
Whether you’re looking for a clear design plan you can execute yourself or want me to manage the details from concept through completion, we’ll establish the right scope for your project from the beginning.
1. DESIGN CONSULTATION
For when you need professional direction, but not a full design service.
A focused consultation where we can walk through your home, troubleshoot a layout, discuss renovation ideas, review finishes or simply help you figure out where to start.
Investment: $250 + HST
Up to 1 hour
2. DESIGN-ONLY
You have the contractor. I create the design.
For clients who want a professionally designed space and a clear plan to execute with their own contractor.
Depending on the project, your design package can include space planning, custom millwork design, material and finish selections, lighting and plumbing selections, detailed drawings, presentations and 3D renderings.
You leave the design phase knowing exactly what your space should look like and how it should come together.
Design fees starting from:
Bathroom — $3,000+
Kitchen — $5,500+
Multiple rooms / full home — Custom proposal
3. FULL-SERVICE INTERIOR DESIGN
The complete experience—from the first idea to the finished home.
This is for clients who want me involved throughout the entire process.
I develop the design, prepare the drawings, source the materials and furnishings, coordinate with my trusted trades and vendors, manage procurement, and stay involved during construction to make sure the design is executed as intended.
You still make the important decisions. I take care of keeping all the pieces moving in the same direction.
Design fees are quoted based on scope.
Full-service projects typically begin at $20,000 + HST.
Renovation and furnishing costs are separate from the design fee.
